KEEMA (Mince Curry)
Ingredients:

450g Mince – ( Lamb mince is really good here but it’s quite expensive now so I used pork mince )
1 Tin of Chopped Tomatoes
1 Onion
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 Green Chilli
1 Tsp Ground Ginger
1 Tsp Garam Masala
½ Tsp Turmeric
½ Tsp Ground Cumin
1 Tsp Ground Coriander
1 Cup of frozen Peas
200 mls of cold water
Salt

Method:

1. Add the mince to a non-stick frying pan, cook until lightly browned

2. Drain off all the fat that comes out of the meat – using a sieve will make it easier.

3. Put the mince into a bowl & leave to one side

4. Wipe out the frying pan with a piece of kitchen towel

5. Chop the onion

6. Put a little oil in the frying pan, add the onion & cook until softened & browned a little

7. Add all the spices to the pan & cook for 1 minute.

8. Add the mince back to the pan.

9. Add the tomatoes & water

10. Mix everything together

11. Put the lid on the pan & cook gently for 30 – 40 minutes – stir occasionally

12. Add the frozen peas, stir & cook for a further 10 minutes
